Due to considerable rainfall in some upstream and middle-reach catchment areas, there are possibilities of flood situations in some low-lying areas of the Nilwala Ganga basin, Irrigation Director, Hydrology and Disaster Management Engineer S.P.C. Sugeeshwara said.
